Born in Canada, Dr. Taro Kaibara received his BSc and MSc degrees
at McGill University and University of Western Ontario, respectively. He
attended medical school at the University of Toronto and assisted in the
development of a mobile intraoperative MRI system during his residency at the
University in Calgary. He obtained fellowship training in complex cranial
and vascular surgery at the University of Miami and is Board Certified in both
the U.S. and in Canada. Dr. Kaibara performs surgeries at both BNI-St. Joseph's Hospital and Chandler Regional Hospital, where he is the Medical Director of Neurosurgery. He treats patients with complex and simple cranial and spinal disorders, utilizing the latest in surgical techniques and instrumentation, often employing minimally invasive approaches. A strong belief of Dr. Kaibara is that patients often may not be provided with detailed information regarding their medical condition and that having that extra insight can allow them to do better with their treatment. When not at work Dr. Kaibara spends his time with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys playing golf, baseball and ice hockey, having played for the McGill University varsity hocky team. |
